Business Manager (1)

  • Stay atop latest information for grants, scholarships, funds, etc.
  • Manage Palate Magazine investments, cash flows, expenses, gains, etc.
  • Maintain accounting book for any and all Palate Magazine transactions
  • Garner sponsorships from community vendors
  • Responsible for acquiring equipment necessary for Palate Magazine
  • Coordinate with Marketing Manager for any necessary marketing expenditures
  • Responsible for carrying out any orders for Palate Magazine (shirts, printing, accessories, etc.)

Marketing Manager (1)

  • Send out all information related to Palate Magazine to vendors, partners, customers, etc.
  • Plan out marketing campaigns for Palate Magazine
  • Coordinate with Social Media Manager for collaboration in marketing campaigns
  • Increase Palate Magazine viewership and recognition
  • Promote Palate Magazine submissions

Social Media Manager (1)

  • Post at least three (3) times per week in each of the social media outlets available. Posts may include text, images, video, snippets of submissions, quotes, etc.
  • Maintain audience interested and informed about coming Palate events, deadlines, recognitions, etc.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Manager keep Palate Magazine top-of-mind
  • Establish with Editor-in-Chief and/or Production Manager which posts that are not directly related to Palate Magazine are acceptable for posting

Secretary/Historian (1)

  • Maintain detailed minutes on all Palate Magazine meetings, discussions, etc.
  • Collaborate with Business Manager and Marketing Manager to maintain detailed reports on Palate Magazine campaigns
  • Maintain the submission folders in the email organized and up-to-date
  • Maintain records of all contracts and other documentation between Palate Magazine and staff, vendors, etc.

Literary Editors (2)

  • Select literary pieces to go into the magazine.
  • Work with the author and Editor-in-Chief to edit the chosen pieces.
  • Interview and write about authors/artists showcased in magazine.
  • This position requires previous editing experience and proof of work to show it.

Web Manager (1)

  • Work with Creative Director to manage the Palate website.
  • Aid in redesign of Palate Magazine website.
  • Requires experience with WordPress.
  • Basic knowledge of UI/UX preferred.

Fundraising Directors (2)

  • Plan and execute fundraising events and initiatives.
  • Work with the Marketing department to successfully market these initiatives.
  • Seek out sponsorships and grants.
